I am available to supervise students interested in joining my research program on sustainable food systems, coastal food systems, small-scale fisheries, fisheries governance, and food sovereignty.
- Aidan Conrad (co-supervised with Dr. Sebastian Linke), Master's student, University Centre of the Westfjords. Aidan is studying the factors behind successful small scale fisheries and their linkage to rural development and food security.
- Alexander Duncan (co-supervised with Dr. Charles Levkoe), Master's student, Lakehead University - completed July 2020. An investigation into the local and traditional ecological knowledge of the Saugeen Ojibway Nation regarding the status of ciscoes in Lake Huron.
Please note I receive a considerable number of requests and unfortunately cannot respond to them all. Please do not contact me unless you are planning to do qualitative social science research. There are also limited funding opportunities for international students and I do not have funding to cover international student fees.
